The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) has launched the Museums Collection Management System (MCMS) for centralised management of museum collections pertaining to LCSD. MCMS not only enhances collection information sharing among the museums, through its public search interface - LCSD Museums Collection Search Portal, it also enables visitors to get access to collection information of different LCSD museums via a single online platform, facilitating research and enjoyment of a rich array of museum collections. Currently, the collection information of Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong Museum of History, Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Hong Kong Science Museum, Hong Kong Space Museum, Art Promotion Office and Hong Kong Film Archive is available. More collection records will be uploaded and MCMS will be further enhanced in due course.
